Born in 1980, Nergis Öztürk is a graduate of the Theater Department at the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. She made her acting debut with the Golden Orange Award-winning film Karagöz ve Hacivat Neden Öldürüldü (2005) and continued her career in cinema with several notable films such as Barda, Yeraltı, İstanbul Kırmızısı, and Bergen. In 2009, she won the Best Actress award at the 46th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and the 17th Adana Golden Koza Film Festival for her role in the film Kıskanmak. Öztürk, who has starred in many theater productions, co-founded Taşra Kabare with her husband, actor Cemal Toktaş. She has also appeared in both national and digital TV series such as Hatırla Sevgili, Doktorlar, Yargı, Avlu, and Şahsiyet. Nergis Öztürk has a son named Yaman.
